How to add live falling-price drops to WordPress and WooCommerce

The short answer

To add Freefall drops to WordPress, edit the page in the block editor, add a Custom HTML block and paste your Freefall snippet. The drops render on your page and update live. It works the same on WooCommerce stores, with checkout handled by Freefall.

Embedding needs the Trader plan or higher. Every plan includes a hosted Freefall page you can link to from any site. On WordPress.com, adding scripts needs a plan that allows custom code. Compare plans

Step by step

  1. Create your store and first drop. Sign up, create a store and add a drop with its starting price, floor and quantity. Connect your Stripe payout account so you can take orders.
  2. Allow your website's domain. In your console, open your store's Integrate page and add your website's address (for example https://yourstore.com) under Allowed origins. Drops only load on the domains you list.
  3. Add a Custom HTML block. Edit the page or post in the block editor, click the + button and choose Custom HTML. In the Classic editor, switch to the Text tab instead.
  4. Paste the snippet and publish. Paste the snippet from your Integrate page, then preview and publish. Your drops appear and start falling live.

The snippet

Your Integrate page shows this with your store's key filled in.

<script src="https://freefallexchange.com/embed/v1.js" async></script>
<freefall-market store="pk_live_…" limit="6"></freefall-market>

Good to know

  • On WooCommerce, drops sit alongside your normal products and don't change WooCommerce stock. Fulfil drop orders from your Freefall console or through order webhooks.
  • Some security or caching plugins strip scripts from content. If drops don't appear, allow the Freefall script in that plugin's settings.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a WordPress plugin?

No. A Custom HTML block is all it takes.

Where do shoppers pay?

In a secure Freefall checkout window that opens over your page. Shoppers lock the price, pay with a saved card, and the order appears in your Freefall console. Paid plans can also send each order to your own systems as a signed webhook.

Will the embed clash with my theme?

No. It's a self-contained web component with its own styles, so your theme's CSS can't break it, and it picks up your store's accent colour.
