Freefall is a platform for running live falling-price drops, also called Dutch auctions, on real products. A store sets a starting price and a hidden floor; the price falls in real time for every shopper at once, and the first people to lock a price they like buy at that price.
How does a falling-price drop work?
You set a starting price, a hidden floor price and a quantity. The price falls in real time, the same for every shopper. A shopper who likes the current price locks it, which holds that price while they pay. Each fall can reset to the top at random, and the drop runs until it sells out or you end it.
Can shoppers wait for the lowest price?
Not reliably. Each fall lasts a random length and can reset to the top at any moment, so waiting for the bottom risks losing the item to someone else or watching the price jump back up. Shoppers buy when the price is right for them.
Does Freefall work with Shopify, WordPress and other website builders?
Yes. Paid plans embed drops on any website with a short snippet, including Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace and Webflow. Every plan also includes a hosted Freefall page, so you can sell without a website.
How much does Freefall cost?
Freefall is free on one store with unlimited live drops and a platform fee per sale. Paid plans start at $29 a month, lower the fee, and add embedding, more stores and team roles. Each extra store costs less than the first.
